Jovan Balaban

It is with deep sadness that the family of Jovan Balaban announce his passing at the age of 91 on May 8, 2012. Dad lived his last days with courage and dignity, reassuring us that everything was OK. Devoted husband for 56 years to Jean, loving father of Donna and Lorraine (Lohnie) Williams. Caring grandfather to Karen (Walter) Paulic, Rachelle Williams and Jane (Jean Paul) Cote. Great grandfather to Lydia, Lauren, Ky, Shealyn and Aly. Dad was kind, generous, hardworking - a man of true integrity, gentle spirit, with sparkling blue eyes. Dad was a devoted and active member of his congregation. He loved the outdoors - tending his garden, and while cursing the rabbits, planting an extra row of beans for them, riding his bike the entire length of the Ganatchio Trail, reading on the patio until daylight disappeared. Thank you to the 5th floor north nurses for your kind and attentive care for dad and us. We loved our dad, the most wonderful dad in the world , and will forever hold him in our hearts. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or to St. Dimitrje Church would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Thursday 7:30 p.m. at FAMILIES FIRST 1065 LAUZON RD. East Windsor, 519-969-5841.
