Passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on May 16, 2017 at the age of 95. Devoted wife of the late John Stewart (1961). Survived by her daughter Jacqueline Linda Jacob (Edward) and her son Paul William Stewart (Judy). Cherished grandmother of John Jacob, Kristen McPherson (Marshall) and step-grandmother of Ben and Matt Fisher. Great grandmother of Blayke McPherson. Also survived by her sister Mary Prescott of Toronto, brother-in-law Nelson Stewart (Joan) of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Kate will be missed by her adoring cat Babe. Kate was a long-time resident of South Walkerville (68 years). She worked at Remington Rand in Hamilton, Department of Veteran’s Affairs in London and retired from J.T. Wing Ltd. Windsor in 1982. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Red Wings. Kate was loved by many of her neighbours and was always there to help when asked. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital- Metropolitan Campus for their care and compassion. Additional thanks to Dr. Reema Ray, Dr. R. Seski and Dr. J. Warwaruk for their kind and considerate support.

Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to remember Kate and share memories on June 3, 2017, between 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at 2405 Lincoln Road, Windsor. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Ancaster, Ontario at a later date.
