The K Team.

I met Kim in 1972 at Big Steel, 90 Yonge Street. He was a larger then life character, with a great smile, a roaring laugh, and a big warm heart. He became an instant friend and I shall cherish that friendship forever. Kim’s brother-in-law and another good friend JT (Jeff Thrasher) and I often hung out and partied together with Kim. The music was always loud and mostly R&B; there were so many good times. In the early 80’s when Kim was living and working in Montreal, Jeff and I would visit Kim. We always had a blast together, and on one particular trip we decided our trio was to become known as “The K Team; and of course Kim would be “The Team’s Commander”. Jeff invented those names on one special night of craziness at the Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal. It was a 36 hour shindig, that had it all! Rest In Peace my old friend. May your sax solos be ever-lasting and crisp as you play your heart out now, in Gabriel’s horn section. With all my love Commander.... Borderline 😍🎷
