It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on October 18, 2011 at 95 years of age. She was the daughter of Samuel Pare and Lena Bondy and was predeceased by her loving husband Edmond (1996), her brothers Rev. Earl D. Pare (1999) and Ivan M. Pare DFC (1962). Loreeda was the cherished mother of Gary and Sharon of Ottawa, and Duane and Ronnie of LaSalle. She was the loving grandmother to Scott (Laurie) Mousseau, Shelly (Rob) Letteri, Lisa (Dr. Michael) Lappi, Kerri (Paul) Henman. Loreeda was the special great-grandmother to Ryan and Katie Mousseau, Anthony, Joshua and Michael Letteri, Rebecca, Sara and Michael Lappi. She will be sadly missed by her cousins Theresa and Elmer Birch, Sister M. Electa CSJ, Virginia Collins and Dorothy Finner. Loreeda retired from the Essex County R.C. Board in June 1981, after some 30 years of teaching. She touched the lives of many children having 50 to 60 pupils (and some years more) in her kindergarten each day. She was an avid craft lover, engaging in various teaching endeavours, hampered only in later years by her arthritic hands. She loved her flowers and her garden and took great joy in nurturing the life of her flowers, plants and trees. For the past few years, Loreeda made baby blankets. The proceeds from these went to Catholic missions of Canada for the Inuit Children and the children of Haiti. Her love for children will be remembered by many young ones who affectionately knew her as "Mimi" Mousseau. She will be remembered by her numerous friends and acquaintances for her effervescent smile and generous nature.
