Born November 26, 1931, peacefully on August 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Loved husband and best friend of Pauline (nee Gemus) for 54 years. Devoted father and Pépé of Lorne and wife Christine (Alex, Christopher, Lexi, Jason), Jerome and wife Kathy (Josh, Daniel, Ben), Charlie and wife Sara (Zachary), John and wife Rita (Ashley, Kyle, Michael), Paul and wife Isabel (Phillip, Nathan, Alondra, Elliott), Chris and wife Christine (Sydney, Adam, Nicole), Greg and wife Colette (Thomas, Emily, Sarah, Katie), Madonna and husband Hugo Ferrone (Payton, Dayna, Jordan), Diane and husband Glen Appleyard (Hunter, Caleb, Gavin), Mary Jo and husband Todd Shaw (Colton, Kip), Matthew and wife Loretta, Cathy and husband Jeff Ross (Jeremy, Madeleine). Dear brother of Bruce, Richard, Jennifer and the late Margaret. Loving brother in law of Rita Forton, Yvonne Desjarlais, Theresa and Bob Daragon, Gerald Gemus and Madonna, Rhea Gemus, and predeceased by Lionel Gemus and Ruth, Jeanne and Frank Hogan, Lou Gemus and Gerry Desjarlais. Lorne was a devout Catholic and was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. He was a professional engineer and professor with St. Clair College for 35 years. Donations made to Canadian Food For Children (in care of Frank Chauvin 892 St. Mary's Blvd., Windsor N8S 2T9) would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 3:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Thursday, family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (4401 Mt. Royal Drive) after 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m.
