Passed away peacefully on Monday October 12, 2009 at the age of 82. Mom was born in Dilke, Saskatchewan on December 31, 1926 and married in Windsor, Ontario in 1949. She is survived by her loving husband Henri Marchand; her children: Barbara and Dale Dickie, Margaret and Sylvain Chapdelaine, Michael and Fabiana Marchand, Dan Marchand and David Tremblay, Yvonne Marchand and Manfred Kaufmann, Rick and Lola Marchand, Charlene and Garry Aldworth, Charlotte Marchand and John Buffone, Robert Marchand, Jeff Marchand and Julie Gauvin, and John Marchand; her grandchildren: Ralph, Alex and Robin Dickie, Louis and Chloe Chapdelaine, Aubri and Jon-Paul Marchand, Isabelle and Sophie Kaufmann, Nicole and Danielle Marchand, Ross, Bradley and Ellen Aldworth, and Michael Buffone. We are happy that she was able to meet her great grandson: Tury Maietta. Mom also is survived by her close friends: Hannchen Latkovskis and Charlotte Budzinski as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by nine brothers and sisters and her loving aunt Isabelle Schmidt. She enjoyed the simple things in life: cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading and always loved a good joke. Mom was a devoted parishioner of St. Rose de Lima Church. In this short life that only lasts an hour, how much - how little - is within our power… If you so desire, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
