Peacefully on September 18, 2012 at 85 years of age. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary (nee Spurgeon), by her brother Arthur and wife Evaline and by her sister Evelyn. Also predeceased by her nephew Wilmer and his wife Valerie. Sadly missed by her special niece Darlene Scarsbrook and her husband Jim of South Surrey, B.C. Also by her sister Lila Murphy and husband Tom of Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews in Western Canada. Mabel worked for IBM Canada Ltd. in Windsor for over 25 years. She was a member of Alhambra-Garcia 230 in McGregor for 10 years. Special thanks for the exceptional care and compassion from the dedicated staff of Huron Lodge and of Extendicare Tecumseh staff, especially Riverside. If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Friday 6pm, a prayer service by Order of Alhambra 7:30pm followed by funeral service at 8:00pm at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor 519-969-5841. Cremation to follow.
