Madeline Killop

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Madeline, at home, in the presence of her children. She is reunited with her beloved husband and dancing partner, John, whom she tirelessly cared for in his final years. Her sharp sense of humour has become part of family lore and she is remembered as a voracious reader and active volunteer (Canadian Legion #594, Malden Park Seniors Centre, Red Cross, IODE). She balanced this with a passion for hockey, cryptic crosswords and dancing. Every moment spent with her was a gift filled with laughter, memories, song and dance. She will be sadly missed by all those lucky to be touched by her rich accomplished personality, especially her admiring children: Karen (Strasser) and Jim; Kevin and Sandy; Judie (St Pierre) and Mike; Laurel and Randy (Campbell); Tim and Linda; doting grandchildren: David, Michael, Kimberly, Nicole, Mark, Stephen, Christopher, Natalie, Meridith, Alexander, Ryan, the late Jason and Shawn; also great grandson Chase. If desired, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, Legion #594 or Hospice of Windsor. Visitation Wednesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m and Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Thursday at 4:30p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Funeral Mass Friday 9:30 a.m at Assumption Church, (350 Huron Church Rd). Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
