With heavy hearts the family of Maria Sablich announces her passing on May 30, 2012 at the age of 71. Cherished wife for 48 years of Giacomo Sablich. Beloved mother of Sonia (Dino) Coletti and Roberto. Loving and devoted Nonna to Christina, Jessica, Joseph and Alysha. Reunited with her late parents Felice and Clarice Calvani. Dear sister of the late Rosa Calvani (1923), Camillo Calvani (2003), Rita Rezza (2003), Daniele Calvani (2009), Domenica DiGiacomo (2010), Gabriella Antonnicola (2012). Loving sister of Fernanda (Joe) Pedri, and Olderico (Gelmina) Calvani. Dear sister-in-law of Pietro and Maria Sablich, Dario Sablich of Australia and Guido Sablich of Croatia. Special Zia to Paolo and Anna Pedri, Susi and Renato Rovere, Luana and Joe Zambito and families. Survived by family members in Italy, Croatia and Australia. Maria was an active parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church where she was a liturgical reader, member of the Catholic Women's League, Legion of Mary, Gesu Dell' Ascolto and the Chair of the Cenacolo prayer group. Maria was devoted to her family. We will miss her cooking, watching her work in the garden, and most of all her unconditional love. Maria brought joy to the lives of many people and she will be sadly missed. Visiting Friday 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral service Saturday 8:45 am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 then in procession to St. Angela Merici Church for a mass at 9:30 am.
