Died peacefully on February 15, 2012 with her eldest grandchild, Sandy, at her side at the age of 97 1/2 years. Born in Notre Dame du Nord, P.Q. on July 22, 1914. Late of the Village of Aspen Lake. Wife of the late William St. Pierre (1998) and the late Roy W. Defoe (1975). Loving mother of Carol Robinson (William), James Defoe (Diane), and Alan Defoe (Marie). Precious grandmother of Sandra Colautti (Dean), Kristine Robinson-Limanek (Mark), Jason Defoe (Jessica), Jeffrey Defoe (Stephanie), Lisa Defoe (George), Tammy Defoe, Teresa Defoe and Scott Defoe. Adored great-grandmother of Rebecca Colautti, Billy Limanek, and Christopher Colautti. Special caring friend of Giselle George. Dear sister-in-law of Florence ‘Penny' Renaud. Predeceased by brothers Armand, Aurele, Arcade and Urgel and sisters Leah, Lucia, and Julia. Marie was a past-president of the Catholic Women's League of Sacred Heart Parish (Windsor) and past-president of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Hotel Dieu Hospital. She volunteered at the Cancer Clinic of Metropolitan Hospital, the Hotel Dieu Gift Shop, Home for the Blind, and was a supply teacher to the Catholic School Board.
