After a courageous and dignified battle, surrounded by his loving family on August 9, 2012 at 65 years of age. Cherished and devoted husband of Sharon for 42 years (nee Loosemore). Beloved father of Michael (Melissa) Piva and David Piva. Adored grandfather of Tarissa, Ashley, Joyce, Michael and Nate. Dearest son of the late Fiore and Carmela Piva and son-in-law of Peggy and the late Arthur Loosemore (2011). Dear brother of Angelo (Barbara) and Arminio (Jo-Ann) Piva and brother-in-law of Ron (Sandra) and Rick Loosemore. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Mario retired as District Chief after 35 years of service with the Windsor Fire Department. He was a member of the Sun Parlor Boat Club and Park Haven Boat Club for many years.
