Peacefully, on July 1, 2011 at the age of 90, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Ivanka (2002). Dear father of Bob and wife Debbi, Donna, George and Steve. Dearest grandfather of George, Bobby, Michael and Amanda. Loving great grandfather of Ethan. Born in Yugoslavia in 1920, Mike and Ivanka married in Salzburg Austria after WWII and emigrated to Canada shortly after. Mike worked for the Greater Essex County District School Board for 30 years and retired in 1985. It was fitting that with Mike's love of Canada, he would die on Canada Day.
