Suddenly into the arms of the Lord on Dec. 17, 2012 at 60 years of age. Miriam (Mae) Tomarong was born on August 15, 1952 in Iloilo City, Philippines. Beloved wife of 35 years to Tani. Loving mother of Stephen Brian of Toronto. Dearest daughter of Grimaldo Martinez and Saturnina Lopez. Dear sister of Helen Berja, Evangeline Sullivan, Fely Farrish, Myrna Granil, Marilyn Tabulao, Gunder Martinez, Melvin Martinez, Omega Camacho and Ruth Leah Galgana all of the United States. Also survivied by many nieces and nephews. Mae served as a Board member of the Filipino Community Center of Windsor and the Evangel Bible Church for many years and has taught the Filipino Heritage class until the time of her death. She is known for her outstanding culinary skills and passion for excellent cooking. Her special desserts and delicacies will be greatly missed.
