It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and tata on Saturday April 23, 2011 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1973) and her daughter Layla (1955). Survived by four children, Fouad Makhlouf and wife Marie, Boutrous Makhlouf and wife Karamel, Marie Makhlouf and late husband Boutrous, Therese Dakhil and late husband Tony. She was adored by 16 grandchildren including Fouad's children: Claudette and husband Tony, Michael, Robert, Michlene and husband Sean, Charlie and wife Antonella; Boutrous' children: Magellan and wife Sophie, Maggie and husband Walid; Marie's children: Nada and husband Charbel, Joe and wife Mary, Henry and wife Marina, Julie and husband Tony, Charbel and wife Layal and Therese's children: Zeina and husband Ian, Leina and husband Frank, Joseph and Anna Marie. Nazha was tata to 27 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, sang songs to and played with. Tata immigrated to Canada in 1973 from Lebanon. She lived for many years in Leamington where she had many friends and later moved to Windsor. Anyone who knows Tata, knows how important prayer and attending church was to her. No matter what the weather, she walked to Holy Trinity Polish Church every morning for 8 a.m. mass. She was also an outstanding member of St. Charbel Maronite Church. Nazha was always the life of every party she attended. She loved to sing and dance the dabkee. She could hardly wait for spring to arrive so she could begin her gardening. Visiting Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Tuesday, friends are invited to meet at St. Charbel Maronite Church (1010 Hwy. #3) after 10:30 a.m. until time of mass at 11 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
