It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Norm at the age of 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Mary Lou (nee Brophey) to whom he celebrated fifty seven years of marriage on August 30th, 2009. A very special dad, kind and loving to his daughter Cathy and husband Lorenzo Bisutti and to his son Norman Alan. Wonderful grandpa to Jodi and Jeff, Marc, Brett, Quinn and Aaron. Cherished great grandpa to Olivia and Nevaeh (the two little apples of his eye). Norm was the son of the late Francis G. Hitch and Winnifred Hitch Whitehead and was pre-deceased by his three brothers Jack, survived by his wife Rose Hitch, Norm's twin brother Neil and his late wife Nora and brother Charles, survived by his wife Alberta. Also missing Norm will be his sisters-in-law Lillian Gorman and husband Matthew, Agatha Brophey and late husband Park Brophey, also many nieces and nephews. Cards & Poker…Norm's favourite game. Our circle of friends will never be the same. From 8 to 6…our "full house" is coming up short…less one, now two. They are going to miss you…How the cards have changed. We stand…Kay and Ken, Elsie and Bob, Earl (and the late Peg) and now it's just me. Norm was a retired Hiram Walker employee with 42 years of service. Visitation will be on Wednesday October 14th 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. The funeral will take place on Thursday October 15th at 11:30am at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Burial to take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens. And so we say goodnight to you Norm because we will never say goodbye. Norm wait for me just beyond the moon.
