Passed away on December 27, 2012 at the age of 93. Loving husband of Rita (nee: Pare) with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage. Beloved father of Marv and wife Lyn, Anne Marie McBride and spouse Brian Murphy of Ottawa. Predeceased by sons Lawrence (1958) and David (1983). Pépé to Monique and David Susko, Kristin and Rob Macdonald, Allison McBride and spouse Bill Murray. Great-pépé to Justin, Lauren, Leah, Kevin, Aidan, William and Emilie. Brother of the late Ida, Leo, Marie, Paul, Rita and Pauline. Will be missed by special niece Leona. Bill worked for Ford Motor Co. for a short time in 1941 before enlisting with the Irish Regiment of Toronto to serve his country in WW2. He then returned to Ford where he was a member of Local 200 for 35 years. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5642, River Canard. Visitation Sunday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 4:00 p.m. Veteran's Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee at Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30 p.m. If you so desire, donations to The Salvation Army or to The War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
