Peacefully, on April 24, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Michael Cote. Loving mother of Marianne, Mark and Matthew Haddad. Patricia will also be dearly missed by her step-children Russ Cote and Kimberly Cote and her husband Jason Morin. Dear sister of Michael Melega and wife Glenda, and sister-in-law of Janis Melega. Sister-in-law of Lorraine (Jim MacLachlan), Chris (Tim Crouch 2011), Linda Kaech (Doug Thiessen), Margaret (Bud Conroy), and Paul Cote (Doris). Also survived by her loving mother-in-law Rita Cote wife of Homer Cote (2011). Also predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Melega and her brother Ambrose. Patricia will be sadly missed by her nieces Lynne (Tony Prsa), Amber (Jeff Marshall) and Valerie Melega, along with several cousins and many close family friends. Patricia was a proud retiree of the Windsor Essex Separate School Board, having spent 31 years as a French, Spanish, English teacher at St. Anne High School, Tecumseh. She enjoyed several years of supply teaching after retirement. Patricia was an avid traveler, loved to cook, golf and enjoyed keeping fit throughout her life. Special thanks to the 4 West staff at Windsor Regional Hospital for their loving care and compassion. A Celebration of Patricia's life will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at Essex Golf & Country Club (7555 Matchette Road, LaSalle).
