It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Renato Scatamburlo at the age of 81 on January 9, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. Dearly loved husband of Pierina for 55 years. Cherished father of Valerie D'Annibale (John). Beloved son of the late Angelo and Clara Scatamburlo. Predeceased by his dear sister and brother-in-law Avelina and Angelo Verardo, mother-in-law Genoeffa Caverzan, brother in-laws Cornelio Caverzan and Domenic Chemello, sister-in-laws Inez Strang and Colombina Woodfine. Survived by his sisters Laura Uliana (Leno) and Savina Piccin, brother-in-law Reno (Anna) Caverzan and sister-in-law Nina Chemello. Zio Renato will be lovingly remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews in Windsor, Guelph, Hamilton, Nova Scotia and beyond. Renato was a retired employee of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board and a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan. A special thank you to the wonderful staff in the Respiratory Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus, caregivers at Malden Park and Bayshore nurses, especially Khachan Maarbess. Donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Sunday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Prayers Sunday 4:30pm.
