Welcomed into the arms of God, suddenly on December 6, 2012 at 67 years of age. Dear son of the late Daniel (1975) and Theresa (1999) Costello. Cherished brother of Jean Groshok, Gordon & Beatrice Costello, Brigid Malone, Patricia and Douglas McGilvery, and the late Mary Wickens (2005), William (1988), Joseph (1958), Dorothy Anne Krauskopf (2012), Bernard (1980), Daniel Jr. (1996), Margaret (1932). Beloved brother-in-law of Marian Costello, Rose Costello and Erma Costello and the late Ken Wickens, Peter Groshok, Joseph Malone, John Krauskopf. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Fr. Jack was ordained on May 9, 1970. He first served as an associate at St. Mary's Church Tillsonburg and Christ the King Church Windsor, then Pastor at St. Paul's Church LaSalle, Christ the King Church Windsor and Sacred Heart LaSalle. He was well known for his love of sports especially hockey where he will be remembered for his many years played with the Flying Fathers and golf which he did when ever time allowed. Fr. Jack also proudly served as the Chaplain for the Windsor Police Association for 18 years. He was also a member and Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Council #9500 Sacred Heart and a 4th Degree member of the Dean Wagner Assembly. KofC prayers Sunday 7:30pm with the 3rd and 4th degree. Visitation Saturday 7-9pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 On Sunday visitation will continue at Sacred Heart LaSalle 219 Sacred Heart Drive from 2pm until 9pm, Vigil Service Sunday at 8 pm. Again on Monday at Sacred Heart Church LaSalle after 10am followed by Mass at 11am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery Dublin Ontario, Tuesday 11am.
