Passed away peacefully on March 30, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Pre-deceased by parents Edward and Leah. Cherished husband of 65 years to the love of his life, Theresa. Beloved father to Patricia and Edwin Lukaweski, Nicholas Plante, Catherine and Gary Stevens, Bernard and Marion Plante, Gerald Plante, the late Mary (2001) and son in law Al Kominek and his wife Marion, John and Catherine Plante. Treasured grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Loving brother of the late Bernard, John, Homer, Ed, Nicholas, Warren, and sister Marion Plante. Robert was a man who truly lived his faith. Selfless in every way, his dedication to his family and his church were the fibre of his being. He loved sports and music and as an avid writer published several short stories. Ever aware of nature's wonder, he greeted every day with the same childlike enthusiasm. As a man who always gave, and asked for nothing, he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Many thanks to the staff of the Rose Garden Villa for their countless hours of care.
