Rosemary Kolar

Rosemary's life began on April 22, 1952. Her late parents were John (1970) and Shirley (1974) Jackson. Rose's passion for the latest fashion and style started from an early age. She would leave her parents house as a teenager dressed in "proper attire," then quickly change into the hippest 1960's mini skirt before heading off to school. Her job at her grandfather's "Staddon Hardware Store" funded her style habit. She later established a 30+ year career at Jamieson Laboratories. An outstanding and remarkable company! Rose was always an avid party host and goer. If you've ever been to a party at Rose's, you would have eaten the most delicious food, enjoyed her spectacular garden, and listened to classic rock music well into the night. Rosemary married Bill Kolar in 1974, and divorced in 1996. The two had two children together. Danielle was born in 1979, then Willie followed in 1982. Rose kept busy as a mom. She was a proud baseball mom, watched Mr. Dressup every weekend, baked Christmas cookies, and of course, camped every summer. Her daughter Danielle went on to marry Colin Rieveley in 2007, together they had Norah in 2010, and are expecting baby Pearl in early December 2011. Oh Norah! Possibly the greatest moment in Rose's life was when her first grand baby was born. Rose loved Norah so much in just a short year and a half that will last her always. Finally, they say all you need in life is one good friend. Well, Rose had dozens of good friends...in fact, great friends! The most amazing people anyone could ever meet. Rose, mom & grandma, lost her life after a tenacious two and a half year battle with Breast Cancer on November 14, 2011. We will always love you mom. If inclined, please make donations to The Hospice Residential Home Windsor. A sincere Thank You to all Hospice Residence staff and volunteers for your respect, humour, and friendships. Visitation Friday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Saturday 1:00pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
