After a courageous journey with cancer, Ruth was received into the open arms of our Lord, surrounded by her loving family on November 20, 2009 at 48 years of age. Beloved wife of 24 years to Emil. Devoted and treasured mother of Nina and Francis and loyal canine Reese. Dear daughter of Betty Dunn. Predeceased by her father Gerald Dunn, sister Maureen Harold and mother-in-law Nunziata. Cherished sister of Jerry Dunn, Terry & Janis Dunn, Debby & Paul Mahon, Elaine Dunn-Angus & Jonas, Denise & Bob Chevalier, Kevin Dunn & Nikki, Tim & Cheryl Dunn, Mat Dunn & Marga, Karen Dunn-Peltier & John. Sister-in-law of Rick Harold, Betty & Jerry Grossi and the late Annette & Remi Cantarutti. Dearest Godmother of Julie Rose Chevalier. She will be sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her warm and tender ways with her patients and coworkers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ruth's family for a collective donation towards medical equipment to aid others with lung cancer treatments or a trust fund for Nina and Francis or Community Living Essex County. Visitation Sunday 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Prayers Sunday 4pm. On Monday, family and friends are invited to meet at St. Theresa Church (1991 Norman Rd.) after 9am followed by Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment to follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery Woodslee, Monday 12:15pm.
