Of Carmarthen, Wales passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25th, 2012 at the age of 90 at the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Beloved wife of the late Granville (Glan) Hughes, devoted mum to her only son David and loving mother-in-law to Anna Piazza of Toronto, Canada. Born and raised in PEI, Canada Shirley moved to Wales in 1946 after the war and lived there until February 2012 when she returned to Canada to move into a retirement home after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Shirley loved to travel and see new places but most of all she loved to get home to Canada. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer's Society.
