At 81 years on November 11, 2011. Cherished wife of the late Yousseff Ghattas Daabous (1966). Loving and devoted mother of Ibtihaj (1948). Adored mother of Janette & husband Elias Hajjar (London), Yvette & husband Larry Gordon, Violette, Elizabeth & husband Ivica Grgec (Vancouver), Georgette & husband Robert Balint, James & wife Susan, Adeline & husband Don Yeo (London) and Joseph & partner Kelly (London). Beloved sittee of Jennifer, Robert, Melissa, Natalie, James, Amy, Andrew, Marcus, Caitlin, Laura, Dillon, Jordan, Benjamin and Maddie, and great-sittee of Kevin, Skyler, Sterling and Abby. Survived by sisters Clemence and Yvonne (Lebanon) and Nasima (Sudbury). Momma passed away peacefully, in her own home, into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by family and loved ones. Our parents sailed from Lebanon to Canada in 1951, with two toddlers and a baby born on board, to start a new life. Mom devoted her life to raising eight children on her own after Dad passed away in 1966. She taught us that dedication and love for family will overcome any obstacle God places in your path.
