Suddenly on January 8, 2013 at the age of 66. Predeceased by his beloved wife Irma (2009). Cherished father of Scott and wife Margo, Steven and wife Devon, Erica Oliphant and Matt Young. Loving Papa of Madison, Sydney, Benjamin, Lilliray, Mikaela and Christopher. Dear son-in-law of Lilli and Ewald Schulz. Dear brother of Pennie Mitchell and husband John, Robert and wife Bev, June Miller and husband David, Charlene Yoell. Predeceased by his brothers Albert and Roy. Brother-in-law of Willi Schulz and wife Deb. Cherished friend to many, especially Barb and Dave Bjarneson and Debbie and Les Westbury. Will be sadly missed by his canine companion Samantha. Stew was an inspiration to many of his students at Assumption and St. Joseph's High Schools in the Visual Arts. He was passionate about soccer, both as a coach and referee. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending his time fishing and relaxing with a good book. Stew will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.
