Peacefully on August 21, 2012 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Bruce "Newt". Loving mother of the late Karen Richardson (nee Specht), and Lynne Weiss (nee Specht). Daughter of the late William & Elizabeth Philcox. Treasured grandmother of Bonnie, Kristine, Stephanie, John & wife Megan, Michael and Brian, and Mark & wife Becky. Great-grandmother of Kelly, Jennifer & husband Christopher, Stephanie Jr., Andrea, Katie, Alexandra, and Daniel. Great-great-grandmother of Madison Jean, Tyler, Reece, Mason, Caelyn and Isabella. All siblings deceased brothers: Jack, Alfred, Frank and Lloyd, and sisters: Betty, Elizabeth and Margaret. Sister-in-law of the late Ross, Glenn and Ethel. Special aunt of B.J. Bielich. Mrs. Newitt was the secretary of the LaSalle Senior's Friendship Club, a member of the Dominion Ladies Golf League, Roseland Ladies Bowling League, Tops and she enjoyed 50 years of cottage life at Klie's Beach.
