Peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family at Heron Terrace Nursing Home on Saturday, April 2, 2011 in her 89th year. Verone was dearly loved by her late husbands Nelson Papineau (1996) and Joseph Masse (1970). She was born in St. Jospeh, Ontario loving daughter of Alfred (1970) and Adelina (1972) Ducharme. Cherished mother of Alfred Masse (Rita), Jane Engels (Maury 2001), Paul Masse (Elizabeth), Maureen Matijiw (Ron) and Karen Melnik (John). Adored Grandmother and Mêmé to 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Albina Ducharme (Lawrence), Theresa Hartman (Kuno), Alphonsine (Peg) Stansberry (Ty), Sister Priscille Therese, Sister Rosalie Ducharme, Brothers Avila (Blanche), Cyrille (Olive), Hubert (Doreen Willoughby), Leo Pierre Ducharme (survived by wife Ella) and Blaise Ducharme (survived by wife Joyce). Verone will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her devotion, her kindness and generosity and her beautiful smile and laughter. Verone was a member of the Central Association of Miraculous Medal for many years and the Catholic Women's League of St. Joseph Church the Worker and Most Precious Blood Church.
