After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Wally passed away peacefully on August 13, 2011 at the age of 80 with Emily (nee Lauzon), his devoted, loving wife of 46 years, at his side. Wally was the brother of Helena Letwinsky and the Edwin Stefanczyk (2006). Brother in law of Corinne and Joe Maisonville, Carmel Letinbechler, Marie Lauzon, Laura Lauzon, Clare and Ray Belanger and predeceased by Julianne Maurice and John Lauzon. He was a very special uncle to Rebecca and his many nieces and nephews. His memory is firmly cemented in the hearts of Roger and Irene Lebert, their children Barbara, Betty, Keith, Brenda and their families. Wally will forever be remembered by many for his trademarked sense of humour, his love of the serene outdoors, his passion for fishing and his devotion to his furry companions Kelly, Lucky and Scamp. Our deepest thanks to the wonderful palliative care staff at Malden Park, to Father Mike Dwyer, Deacon Jeremy Tyrell, our family, friends and colleagues for their kindness and support throughout Wally's illness. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet at Immaculate Heart Church (2153 Parkwood) after 9:30am followed by Mass at 10am to celebrate the gift of a life now returned to God.
