Peacefully at his residence at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Kathleen. Loving father of Leah and husband Eric Behrens, Darin at home, Lindsay Stansfield, Kim and husband Scott McLean and April Gorsalitz. Dear son of Zofia and the late Joseph Szwed. Cherished grandfather of Les, Kurt, Baylee, Andrew, Alexandra and Dylan. Dear brother of Stanley and wife Monique Szwed, George and wife Gloria Szwed, Helen and husband Leonard Lavallee and Mary and husband Tony Mikac. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Wally was an employee of Unique Tool and Gauge and past employee of Binder Tool and International Tool. If you so desire, donations to The Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday 11 a.m. at Families First Funeral Home (969-5841) 2670 Dougall Avenue. Cremation to follow
