Wayne Sole

We lost the heart of our family with the unexpected passing of Wayne. He was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 24, 2012, just shy of his 71st birthday. Devoted "sole-mate" of 51 years and best friend of Marilyn (nee Garetson). Irreplaceable father to Sandi and Kevin Turner, Wendy and Greg Turner and Tami and Richard Lachance. The absolute best papa of Erin and fiancé Rob, Stephanie, Lindsay and Kristen. Loving son-in-law of Angela Garetson and son of the late Amy and Arthur Sole. Dearest friend and brother-in-law of Sharmyn Robinson, John and Becky Garetson, Janice Garetson and Melvin Garetson. Brother of Robert (Rose) Sole and the late Leslie (Violet) Sole. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, good friends and fellow parishioners of Harrow Baptist Church. Wayne was a strong, hardworking, loving family man. He was a past employee of Canteen of Canada, former partner of Bull and Gauthier Collision and Bromac Auto Body Supply, and owner of GTW Distributing Company. Retirement never slowed down the artistic craftsman whose beautiful creations brighten the homes of his daughters, relatives and friends. What started as a labor of love became the business venture, "Sole-mate Creations" featured at Art in the Park, Art by the River and various other craft shows. Connoisseurs know him as the creator of the Beauty and the Beast clock. Wayne's needs always came second to those of his wife and daughters and he was always eager to lend a hand, a dollar and a shoulder. Christmases will never be the same without our holiday-loving fudge chef. "Let me tell you a secret about a father's love – it's a love without end, amen." If you so desire, donations to the War Amps of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday 11:30 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Pastor Stephen Todd officiating. Cremation to follow.
