Peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on February 15, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 66. Cherished husband and best friend of Carole (nee LeBoeuf) for 42 years. Adored daddy of LeighAnne Dowie & Laura and Marc-André. Beloved son of the late Victor & Stella Dowie. Loving brother of Donna Sinclair, Victor Dowie & Lynda, Victoria Bizzotto & Gino. Dear brother-in-law of Robert Rivard & Jenn. He was a proud uncle of Rob, Kenneth & Francine, Debra & Robert, Elizabeth, Cheryl & Martin, Debra & Luc, Jennifer & Tom, Robert, and Karen & Jeff. Bill retired from Chrysler after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a proud foster parent and mentor with the CAS for 25 years and was a volunteer driver. He leaves his legacy of love of family and many memories of fun travels. Bill was 3rd degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. In kindness, donations to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex County or Malden Park would be appreciated by the family. The family kindly asks that the visitation and mass be a "perfume-free zone" due to a severe allergy.
