After a brief illness on March 19, 2011 at 89 years of age. Loving and devoted husband of 57 years to Marilyn. Cherished father of Duane and wife Kim Maxey and the late Michael John Maxey (1969). Beloved grandpa of Brandon, Michaela and Madison. Special father to Gail McManus and her children Michael and wife Lisa, and Jennifer. Great-grandfather of Hayden and Grayson. He was a veteran of WWII serving with Royal Canadian Navy on the Stormont. Bill retired from Canada Customs in 1984. He was an outstanding amateur golfer for many years and three time club champion at Kingsville Golf and Curling Club. Cremation was held.
