Condolences & Donations

I first met Nancy when I moved into my home on Strabane. The Kmits were my very first neighbours and it was the beginning of a long friendship that continued even after I moved away. Nancy, Fred and Mike loved and cared for my dog and best friend Boo Boo every single day of the year, until he died two years ago. The four of them were always together, and could be seen walking everywhere, including Tim Horton's where even Boo got a treat. Nancy was such a kind and gentle soul, and she'll be missed by a lot of people, especially me. I was very sad when Mike called to tell me the bad news of her passing. She will always be in my heart. Goodbye and thankyou old friend. Say hello to Fred and Boo for me!!!!

I am so sorry about Mrs. Kmit passing away. I grew up on McEwan avenue where she lived. Mrs. Kmit was very kind to me and I always looked forward to seeing her. When I think back to my childhood days she is there. She taught me how to tie my shoes. She said I should know before I start school, I remember that. She gave me my first birthday card with money in it. There was six dollars because I had turn six years old. I was very impressed with that idea. She used to take me to the laundry mat with her if I could carry one side of the basket. She was very patient when I would have to stop and put it down every couple of feet. When my Grandmother died I didn't understand what had happened and everyone was very upset. Mrs. Kmit was the one person who took me aside to explain and it was the first time I had ever heard about heaven. She helped make me feel better. Although we never saw each other when everyone moved away I thought about her. I have told my own children about different times in my childhood and many have included Mrs. Kmit. My prayers and thoughts are with Michael and family and friends. She will be remember fondly. Sincerely, Renata and family.
