Peacefully on January 18, 2012, with his loving family by his side. Dearest husband of Bernice for 48 years. Loving father of Susan Devine and husband James, and Richard. Best and devoted grandpa of Curtis and Lauren. Dear brother of John and wife Joyce, sisters-in-law Karen Winkup, Patricia Kochan. Predeceased by his brother Donald, and brother-in-law Edwin Kochan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Al was a very giving and caring man who was always quick to help others. As an avid fitness enthusiast, he enjoyed golf and playing hockey. Al loved to spend time tending to his garden. He retired after 34 years of service to the City of Windsor, where he served in the Planning Department. Special thanks to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Malden Park. We are especially grateful to Milan, whose care and dedication to Al was so appreciated.
