Dearest Elizabeth, We were so greatly saddened at the news of Dorothy's death. Mom knew she must be ill, as she had not heard from her for so long. We are so gratefull that we had our visit in August this past year. It was wonderful to see your Grandmother again, and to meet you. You are so alike - you, your mother, and Dorothy. Judy and Dorothy were such beautiful people, inside and out. It was such a pleasure to know them. We had many wonderful years together as a family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. We can only find peace in the thought that Dorothy is with her dear deceased family again.

Dear Elizabeth I discovered yesterday that Dorothy had died at the HDGH, I was so saddened to hear this news yet there was this part of me that said she is now with her Lord and greeted by loved ones. I immediately thought of you and prayed for you. My how she loved you and knew you loved her. Dorothy and I shared meals together and deep conversations along with good laughter. It was my privilege to know her and to meet you. God Bless you and support you during those days. Major Vi

Dear Elizabeth and family members: I am very sorry that my wife Anna and I cannot attend the funer of Dorothy. She and her husband Lorne were very supportive when I was their Pastor. Dorothy was a personal blessing to us. We have kept contact through the years and she came all the way from Windsor to Ajax to attend our 50th Anniversary celebration. May God richly bless you despite the loss of a great "saint" and I trust the service will be a wonderful celebration of her life. Our flight to Florida happens to be on Saturday. May the Lord strengthen and bless you. Kindest regards, Pastor Jim and Anna Rendle

So sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. I have many good memories, going back to the early days in South Windsor. Dorothy and her husband Lorne were very good friends with my family through the years and her daughter Judy and I grew up in a special era. In particular, I shared some special times with Dorothy in my Flower Business. She was special in this field and was so congenial with the customers. Always gave her best. Going back now, our families spent many a summer together at Lions Head on the Bruce Peninsula. My deepest sympathies to Dorothy's granddaughter Elizabeth. Sorry, that I cannot be there to share your loss.
