Condolences & Donations

Edie, You were very good friends of my mother Lillian for nearly 40 years. I remember 35 years ago when my mother was in the hospital after surgery and you were there daily feeding her and taking such good care of her. Youalways came to all our weddings and baby showers and had a heart of gold. Every week you would call my mom and tell her Dateline and 48 hours was on which he enjoyed watching like you did. The day you went back to the hospital for the 2nd time was my mom's birthday. You called her crying and apologizing for not being able to see her on her birthday and getting her gift to her. That night you had emergency surgery. You always thought of others and were so kind.Your life was never easy but you never complained abou the cards life dealt you. We will miss you. Love Julie Derby, Lillian Gorman and Family.

Wow Gram-ma you sure showed us how strong you really were!! We all hope just to get a little bit of your fight in us. Hey that was some pistol you had hidden away, glad I didn't break into your apartment. Thank you for all the great memories and the care and guidance . Especially letting me drive a car down the road when I was only 14.....Missed but not forgotten Love Tony Susan Matteo Mitchell +Samantha Santarossa

To Edie's family - I met Edie when my mother ( Naomi Kellar) lived at 920 Ouellette Ave. (Mom lived there for 24 years and knew Edie's brother Jack too.) Mom & I always enjoyed talking to Edie when she was sitting down in the lobby or on the elevator or at some of the social events which were held from time to time. She always had a smile and good word. I just wanted to send my heartfelt condolances to all of her extended family. Karen Gunby
