Memories go back to the '80s when we lived in Windsor. Fran was such a positive and lasting influence on our two children at the time. Her genuine love, acceptance and constant positive affirmations will never be forgotten. Memories since our return to Windsor include watching her dance the polka with Steve Fox at a wedding reception, laughter whenever John did something foolish (often); referencing herself to be the "other woman" in his life; making sure young and old alike felt welcome to the church family. She will be missed at the door of the church, but we are confident she who gave so many hugs has received a hug from Jesus Himself. We can only imagine the great welcome she received from so many who have gone before her. Now she waits inside the eastern gate for the rest of us!

Fran was an awesome woman with an incredible love for life. She will be greatly missed, by anyone, fortunate enough, to have known her. Rest in peace. You are loved

Sending our love to you as you celebrate this beautiful lady, my aunt, who I truly adored. She was a shining light in our family and will be greatly missed. Although she has left this earth, she is could never have known the joy and happiness she has now with family, and everyone who has gone before her, that love her so much, just as we do. Bob and I send love and condolences to Fran's family..My mother, Effie Mildred Bruce MacAskill, and Fran were first cousins through the Prest family of Nova Scotia..We also lost my mother in February 2018(age 97) so now both ladies will smile down on us from heaven..We met Fran in 2016 but she was so welcoming and fun that we felt as though we had known her forever..We send prayers and hugs to all those who grieve Fran's passing..Extra hugs are sent to dear Carol, Sue, Barb and Ted..Sincerely, Dawn and Bob.

When Betty and I would bring our girls to Windsor Citadel while on holidays we would always look for Fran - smiling her way through the crowd to embrace us, with a sincere "welcome home." Dedicated individuals like Fran, constant over the years, are never forgotten. Her faithfulness to her Lord and The Army will be forever remembered. Sincere prayers for the family today.
