Wonderful childhood memories

I have nothing but wonderful memories of Frank.  I had the privelage of living 6 houses down the street from my childhood best buddy "Dave".  Frank was Dave's Dad.  Frank was so kind and fun.  Always smiling and greeting me with kindness.  That was his nature.  I have so many wonderul memories of Frank, but 3 stand out for me.  I will never forget being invited out numerous times sailing with the family.  I only once felt a little seasick once when the boat was basically sideways cutting through Lake St Clair and Dave and I were hanging on for dear life.  I remember looking back at Frank in control and he had a big smile on his face.  I thought, there is no way this boat will correct itself.  My toes were skimming the water at tremendous speed and I thought for sure were were going under.  Everytime I looked back at Frank, he kept on smiling and had no fear at all, knowing that his boat would correct itself when it was ready. Cathy then made us some amazing deli sandwiches to this day I think about and that calmed my stomach along with a 7up. The 2nd memory that stands out is going to the Tiger game at the old Tiger stadium.  Driving us there, getting us some  hot dogs and being so patient with us when Dave and I were no doubt getting into trouble somewhere along the line.  The last but not the least was his help in his work shop in the basement of his home.  He helped Dave and I build some "awesome" little pellet shooters with a block of wood, a clothesline and a rubber band.  He was pre-MacGyver.  When I think of Villaire ave, I will always remember Frank and the wonderful memories of growing up down the street and having so many fun times in the MacDonald household. God Bless you Frank.
