November 27, 1943 – April 22, 2020
It was August 2001, almost 19 years ago, that we first saw each other after our April 1961 UP High School graduation. What a wonderful 3-day reunion it was, highlighted by the Carnival cruise to Catalina Island and Ensanada, Mexico.
With such a memorable 2001 reunion, our energetic over 55 something group then decided to hold more reunions, be it small or large, as often as we are able to...and so we did:
August 2002 was at our mountain hideaway in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, capped by our Queens get together at the home of the Bersamins, then on to Times Square and watching The Producers in Broadway.
Following reunion times were in 2003 (Arizona) and 2005 (Toronto)--all equally wonderful, happy and memorable. However, your health challenges precluded you from joiining the succeeding reunions so periodically, a group of friends would "bring the reunion and well wishes to you!".
Roly and I were lucky to join one of these reunions--at your place in Windsor--in 2009...and it included a trip to Troy, Michigan! Truly another reunion to remember!
Goodbye for now, Freddie--You are now Safely Home in the company of our Creator. God bless and keep you...until we meet again!
Sharing here our group photo at the Carnival Cruise, August 2001 in the company of many of our UP High 1957-1961 friends and spouses.
With fond memories and prayers,
Roly and Norie (Quesada) Catiis
