Years ago, when Melinda and Tony were young, our families went to Niagara Falls for a weekend.  While driving through a park, Howard somehow took a short cut through a "new grass road" in the park.  As people stared at the vehicle, we passengers slunk down in the seats in embarrassment.  Howard was not in the least fazed by the attention we were getting and just grinned and drove onto the real road.  He was reminded of this incident many times through the years.   Howard was a kind, generous friend who will be deeply missed.
