Our Veterans are honoured for their sacrifice to preserve our Canadian values of democracy and Jim certainly spoke to doing what he knew was best as a Veteran of the Korean War. In all the times I enjoyed Jim's company and the Windsor Sportsmens Club and at varous memorial events, I remember him for his warm and endearing smile and how he so enjoyed being in the company of his fellow Veterans -- to being a part of what we all do to remind our community of the importance and commitment to sharing remembrance - to bring this forward to our youth generation.
"No one after lighting the lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven".
Matthew 5:-13-16
