A beloved member of Bedford United Church past away recently. Her name was Jane Collard. Jane was an amazing woman who loved all of us Sunday School kids. She was compassionate, genuine, kind, and patient. She was always just a phone call away. She gave the best advice and believed in all of us kids. She saw the beauty in all of us. Without Jane, we wouldn’t be who we are today. I just wanted to post this to emphasize how much of a role model Jane was. She taught us to ‘tune into God like a radio’ when we prayed. When she taught us Sunday School, she taught us to love God with all of our hearts and with all of our minds.

She taught us to be thankful. She taught us to love. She was just so incredible. She truly embodied the love of Christ.

Jane taught us kids so much, and I know that she is with God now.

Within our darkest night, God kindles the fire that never dies away.
Jane radiated the warmth of God's fire and while we experience a dark night brought on by her passing,
her light and her warmth will continue to radiate, for she shines in the heart of God. Jane has passed a torch to us, that we too may radiate the compassion of Christ. May her family, whom she cherished, know the deep deep peace of God.

My heartfelt sympathy to all of you who are mourning the loss of a beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Jane radiated kindness and friendliness and was loved by many.
She is a peace ...well deserved peace.
