May God bring you into His Kingdom good doctor. Thank you for your care when I was only 6. I remember your kindness.

I have been meaning to do this long ago, please accept my apologies for sending this so late. We were away on vacation when this terrible tragedy happened, and when we came back to Windsor and read about it we could not believe it. Dr. Chick was my husbands pediatrician (Duncan will be 51 in Dec) and fortunately he was our daughters (now 24 & 13) Doctor as well. The girls always loved going to see Dr. Chick and he made them feel very special, always the soft spoken, kind, gentle and smiling man who never rushed through any visit. He was so genuine with all of the children. On our last visit we all went so that we could tell him how wonderful he is and say 'thanks so much for EVERYTHING and wish him well', also to share hugs to the most wonderful Doctor who will always hold a very special place in our hearts. The tears were flowing, but we knew how lucky we were to have had such a devoted Doctor. Dr. Chick was a gentle teddy bear that truly cared about the children. I'm sure your Mom was also an equally beautiful person; sadly we did not have the pleasure of meeting her. It is very sad that all of you lost them together, but maybe in some small way it was special that they went to meet God together, that he needed them both. We hope & pray that all of your memories are helping heal your broken hearts and are easing your pain a little bit at a time. God Bless you all. Sincerely, Duncan, Lucille, Vanessa & Emily St. Amour

My sincerest condolences on your most profound loss. There are no words of comfort that can ease your grief, but in time may the wonderful memories that you have of both loved parents replace the tears. Linda Patrick

It was very sad to learn of the death of Dr. Chick and his wife. Our two sons were blessed to have Dr. Chick as their doctor. He was kind, caring, soft-spoken and always seemed to have time to care for his patients. I can only imagine that his wife Donna was just as kind and wonderful. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My prayers are with your family at this time of great loss. Dr. Chick was a gift from god himself. He cared for my two children up until his retirement and they would not be the healthy loving children they are without his care. We have many blessings in life, and I count him as one that I will cherish. God bless all of you and ease your pain.

We are very sorry and sad for the loss of your father and mother. Dr. Chick was our 4 daughters pediatrician for 25 yrs.,1975 until 1999 , from birth till 18 or 19yrs. old. Jennifer,(36 now),Christie,(33),and twins Melissa and Mindy,(30). I remember him wiping away tears with the last visit we had as we hugged him goodbye and he wasn't the only one with tears. He was an excellent caring doctor. I always felt very confident and secure in our girls health care with Dr. Chick. My girls loved him and he saw us through many minor and major health concerns, hospital stays, and of course yearly check ups. They were always so happy to go to a doctors appointment as did I because of his gentle ways, excellent care and help with my concerns. I loved his friendly smile. My heart goes out to you and your family at this tragic time and for your loss. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. May the special memories help you and your family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Maureen, Doug, Jennifer, Christie, Melissa and Mindy

I am so sorry to hear of your mother and father's passing I worked with your father at Grace Hospital while I was a postpartum nurse. Although I'm not telling you all anything you don't already know ....he was a great human being and the very best paediatrician a person of whom I consider it an honour to have known..let,s not forget his wonderful sense of humour, a tribute to mankind. May God give you comfort at this the hardest of times.Sincerely Stephanie Bertelle

Our family will miss Dr.Chick . He had the patience of a saint and respected all the little children in his care. My 4 children were his patients and he helped us many times even when he was off duty he would answer the phone at home and calm me down. Thank you for sharing him with us.

My most sincere condolences to your family. Dr.Chick was my doctor and took care of my son until his retirement. He was the best pediatrician ever. He was kind respectful and so knowledgeable. We were lucky to have him as a doctor and lucky to know him as a person. Let the memories you have of your wonderful parents help you make it through this horrible time and know that with each day comes a tiny bit of healing. Lori Laing and family
