My deepest sympathy on the death of John Hidi. I knew John when I was a little girl and John lived on Parent Avenue. His mother babysat me and my sister and my parents were good Hungarian friends with them. I am 76 years old so you see I go back a long way. It has been around 50 years since I last saw John. He hasn't changed much in his picture and I would have recognized him even now. The clock of life is wound but once And no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop At late or early hour To lose one's wealth is sad indeed To lose one's health is more To lose one's soul is such a loss As no man can restore. The present only is our own, Live, love, toil with a will Place no faith in tomorrow, for The clock may then be still.
