John Pfahler

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of the most wonderful husband, father, papa and son, on August 9, 2011, at the age of 59. Johnny was surrounded by his loving family. Forever loved husband of 39 years to Annette (nee Danchuk). Loving father to his "little girls" and sons-in-law Shelley and David Lamarque, Heather Pfahler and Pio Colini. Papa to his pride and joy grandchildren Liam, Nolan and Madeline. Also survived by his mother Mary Honaker. Predeceased by his brother Mark, father Ron and mother and father-in-law Mary and Alec Danchuk. Brother to Sandy. John will be greatly missed by many friends, especially Red and Sharon Soulliere. John was a 40 year employee of Metro (formerly A&P, Miracle Food Mart) where he made many lifelong friends. John was an avid baseball player and Windsor Spitfire fan, which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed yearly camping trips for Father's Day and Thanksgiving. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting John instantly became his friend. "Johnny" we will miss your smiles, laughter and the love you so freely gave to us. All who knew you will miss you dearly. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Thursday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. at FAMILIES FIRST 1065 LAUZON RD. East Windsor (519-969-5841). On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of the Atonement Parish, 2940 Forest Glade Drive, for Mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
