Mr. Wilkinson is a man I have never met, but I feel the family pain because my dad died in 2004 from this motor-neuron disease known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Dr. M. Strong is/was a man of great help.

Dear James and Family I too had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with John which changed my life forever. I met John when I worked Security at Western and had to do his overhead paging, I often wondered then who was this person..then I met James who introduced me to John and Amanda who was a small child then...I bought and read John's book and was amazed at how he viewed life from his room..how he loved his daughters so very much and how he respected his brother James for always protecting him...you James stood by John for so many years , he was truly blessed to have you as you were to have him...may your spirit soar free now John and may heaven welcome you with peace...God Bless you and God Bless the Wilkinson family... First of all, I'd like to extend my most sincere condolences to the immediate members of John's family. You should all be extremely proud of him. Meeting a person like John happens once in a lifetime…if you're lucky. I feel both honored and privileged to have had that chance. Though I never met him in person...we became pretty good friends through the e-mail, and for a time corresponded quite frequently. If I could do anything for him, he knew he could count on me…you know why? Because he didn't ask for much! It was never for selfish things, it was usually to make someone happy around him…anyone but himself. This genuineness of heart was both humbling and encouraging, that a person of his limited capacity was always ready to put himself aside in order to put a smile on the face of someone around him that he felt needed something. He was probably one of the most stand-up, strongest, inspiring, solid people most people only hope or wish that they could be. He has had, and always will have a great, lasting effect on the many lives that he has touched. On Sept 2, 2012, a candle may have faded in the Western Campus…but a new Light burns in the hearts of anyone who knew you John. Take care brother. Respectfully, Terry Baillargeon.

Dear Wilkinson Family: I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will miss him. I want to thank you for the honour of knowing and caring for him during this last part of his journey. In your life together there were thousands of kisses none as special as the first and none so sad as the last. In your loss may your love recapture memories long forgotten, so that your sadness turns to happy memories with the passing of time. Love Lyla
