Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2009 at 87 years of age. Beloved husband of 67 years to Aurore "Anne" (nee Rivait). Cherished father of Raymond and wife Carole Demers, Gerard and wife Mary Lou Demers, Roger and wife Joan Demers, Annette and husband Guy Papineau, Jeanne Garand, Jeannette and husband Gary Quenneville, Lucille Hubley and husband Ken Gurr. Dear son of the late Damase and Rose Anne Demers. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Lionel and wife Jeanne Demers, Alderic and wife Cecile Demers, Germain and Claire Demers (the late Fleurette Demers), Remi and wife Suzanne Demers, Agathe and husband Maurice Raby, Marie Marthe wife of the late Noël Boileau, Rachel and husband Raymond Bertrand and the late Madeline Demers. Joe was a veteran of WWII serving with the Canadian Army (Royal 22e Régiment Van Doos & Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, PPCLI).
