Judy was the oldest and I am the youngest. There was 17 years between us. When I was younger, she was more like a second mother to me, and her daughters, Cheri and Sandy were more like my sisters not my nieces, as we are so close in age.
I have fond memories of Judy in her younger years as a happy, vibrant and active person. Everyone gathered at her house for summer pool parties, bar-b-q's and dancing in the living room at the annual New Year's Eve party! Family gathered together often at the beach for picnics too.
Fun Facts About Judy....
Judy loved cooking and was famous for her potatoe salad, deviled eggs, and that awesome funny looking desert (green jellow with cool whip, mini marshmellows and coconut)!!f So good!!
Animal lover, (many cats and dogs over the years, and one cat lived to 21).
She was generous, (always slipping money in your pocket and saying, "Don't tell Shannon"!! hahhah). Paying the best wages for babysitting and ordering pizza on top of that!!!
She loved chatting with her lady friends from all over the world on the internet, and talking to family members on the phone. (I think she held the unofficial record for talking the longest on the phone)!!
I think they got the term "Cougar" for middle aged attractive woman from Judy. She used to have a car named a Cougar and she was pretty cool driving around it too!!!
Oh and let's not forget she was late for everything! Drove everyone nuts!! I think I've inherited that trait myself... Oh Oh!
Being the oldest sibling in the family, she had a real Mama Bear instinct to protect everyone. I remember some girls beat me up after Wheels Roller Skating. I called Judy to come and pick me up. She came so fast and found the girls and really put them in their place. The girls never bothered me again!! I thought she was so cool and I really looked up to her for protecting me that day!
And let's not forget all the sibling rivalry. Coming from a big family you're bound to disagree with each other from time to time. This family is known for all it's disagreeing! But in the end, Love Conquers All.
I want to give my sister Judy a big send off... thanks for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Take a rest now, no more worries, stress or pain. It's your time to be the baby and let God take over. Relax and surrender your soul. I will see you again someday.... Your Sister Tamixo
