Hey Carrie. We just found out about Kaleb. We want to send condolences to you and your family for the loss. I can not start to understand how it feels to loose a child but i do understand how it feels to loose someone so close to you cause come July it would be 2 years since i have lost the one person that meant the most to me besides my family which is my Grandma. Carrie, thank you for allowing me to be part of your sons, Kaleb, celebration of his short life. Today I wanted to stand before you and say from the heart what I was feeling. So here goes. 12 months ago I first met you and your mom at the Ronald McDonald House. I was a volunteer. It did not take very long for me to realize what a strong woman I constantly met in the kitchen.It did not take me long to realize where that strength came from. You and your mom are two peas in a pot. You for the past year put Kaleb above everything else and fought for him to live. I watched that every day I worked and every time we went for coffee, when I visited Kaleb in the hospital. YOU knew as much as the nurses did, you learned what to do for your son and without your mom and dad you would have still done it alone. That my dear is strength, that is courage and that above all is a mothers love. I hope one day it all passes on to your children. I know the days and the months ahead will be tough but remember you helped for the past year to fight those odds with your son. You can fight again to keep him within your heart but remember you have two more children who also need that strength. Angel Kaleb, Your will and strength is powerful, and unmeasurable! Your mommy is strong, exceptional and loving - I know that Tayli/DJ know this to be true, and I put everything on the fact that you know and felt all of this as well. Carrie and Family, My heart broke into pieces when I learned of Kaleb's death. I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow. I wish I had words to comfort you in your grief, but I know there are none that will take away any pain you are feeling now. My heart aches for you, Carrie.
