Residents at Westchester by the Lake are missing Leona. She was a member of our social committee and assisted at our monthly dinners. You could always rely on Leona to have a smile and a positive comment towards you when you saw her. Leona liked lighthouses and she and I would often pick one up at the shops and exchange them. I gave her a set of cheese/dip spreaders with lighthouse handles and she would bring them to our weekly Friday "happy hour", along with some snack that she had made. If she did not bring "our lighthouses", I would tease her and she would laugh and tease me right back. I enjoyed her sense of humour. She usually brought jokes to read to us at HH to brighten up the end of the week. I would send her jokes via email under a pseudonym, and she always announced the source of her jokes using that name, and of course everyone knew it was me. I admire her for keeping up with technology. We are all saddened by her sudden passing.
